Gottfried Helnwein Photo Response

This photo is a picture of a face close up, on the face is a person climbing up it with climbing equipment. The image is most likely photo shopped since the climber is so much smaller than the face, it would not be a possible task. This is an artistic image for the reason that it shows an artistic view on a topic that an artist used this image to express some feelings behind the picture. There is a drastic difference in the scale between the climber and the face. There could be many meanings behind this picture but to me it seems like the purpose is to find your self, the face the climber is climbing could be the face of the climber.

After seeing the zoomed out photograph of Helnweins art on a wall and seeing people hanging over it, this shows that it was not a photoshopped image but it was just the context that now gives away what is actually happening. This very detailed image on the wall is a girls face with people repelling over it most likely installing the piece. The urban waterfront location gives this a very interesting feel and it not something that is commonly done. The expression on the girls face is a lost look so this could mean the area where the piece is located is morally lost. You can see the lines of the image being put together at the connecting points but only if you look very closely it is visible. The title is "The Last Girl" so if she was the last girl she would not be very happy and this is shown by her facial expressions.
